How to bring AI in my design team's work process?

The best tools disappear into use. A lota was never celebrated for its material or its maker — it was celebrated because it solved problems so completely that it became invisible. That is the standard to hold AI against in your process.

Bring it in where friction lives: research synthesis, iteration speed, early concept generation. But keep the judgment human. The moment a team outsources its curiosity to a tool, the work flattens.

The question worth asking is not 'where can AI help?' but 'what are we trying to understand about the people we design for?' Let that question lead. Use AI to go further into that inquiry, not to skip it.
