How to grow as a design leader?

As a design lead or leader, making sure your team is running the show is one part. But the other part of your job is also to inspire the team. And inspiring happens in many forms, pep talks or mentorship and all of them. One part is also to let your team know that you are one of the best persons when it comes to doing design, so that they look up to you. If you do not do enough hands-on work, even in small quantities, they don't have that evidence.

Think of it this way. You have two hands and you're doing something on Figma. But imagine now you have twenty hands. How can you orchestrate those twenty hands so your actual skill changes but still your outcome is good design. Your skill changes, but the intention does not.
