I became designer because my seniors were doing it
Short answer
The river follows the riverbed.
Long answer
Most of us arrive at design sideways. Drawn by proximity, not calling. Someone older looked purposeful, so we followed their silhouette into the room. That is not a flaw in your origin story. It is how most vocations are discovered, through witness rather than revelation.
The question worth sitting with is what happened after you arrived. Did the work begin to speak to you in its own voice? Did you start following it for your own reasons?
The designers who last are not necessarily those who chose most deliberately at the start. They are the ones who kept showing up, kept making, and somewhere along the way stopped needing a reason borrowed from someone else.
