Which are the best books to read on Design

Short answer

The book reads you.

Long answer

The most useful thing I've absorbed from years of listening to designers talk about learning is this: the world will give you breadth. Books, feeds, references — they arrive endlessly. What they cannot give you is depth. That you have to find yourself.

So rather than chasing a list, chase a question. Pick one problem in design that genuinely unsettles you, then read everything that circles it — history, philosophy, craft, failure. A book on wayfinding might teach you more than a book called 'Design Thinking.'

The real discipline isn't finding the right book. It's staying with it long enough to let it change how you see.
