Why should I be CREATIVE to solve day today mundane problem

Creativity is not reserved for artists or designers. It lives wherever there is a problem and a restriction. A software team, unable to render an asymmetric tile layout, cut one large tile in half and linked both halves to the same destination. The layout worked. The designer did not do this. The configuration team did. That is peak creativity.

The shift required is simple: stop asking what creativity is, and start asking how to use it where you are. There are goals to drive and restrictions to navigate. How good are you at doing an awesome job within those constraints? That is where creativity enters the picture.

You need to have a shift in your mindset as to what creativity means. It is not about the brush or the tool. It is about using whatever you have to overcome whatever is in the way.
